THE GOLDEN RULE

by Mr. Mean-Spirited

If you aren’t happy about the way that things turned out in your own life, then you sure as hell don’t need to work at making things better for anyone else. If you don’t believe that your own lifespan progressed the way you really wanted, then you need to ensure that circumstances turn out just as dreadfully and defectively for everyone else. If you didn’t ever realize your own dreams, then you ought to make certain that no one else does either. If you are disappointed with your own existence, then others should be equally disheartened with their worthless span of years – and you ought to rub their noses in their own dissatisfaction. If you haven’t done shit with your life, then you better be sure that no one else does either. They deserve to be disabused – and then some.

Call it a do-unto-others-as-has-been-done-unto-you. A Golden Rule across the knuckles of all those who deserve it.

    1. Yeah. I dont want to serve lowlife losers. I like to keep them at a distance at all tines. And theres always some other person out there more willing to do it. Id be depriving them of their opportunity to feel good about themselves. Dumb asses feeding dumber asses.

  3. Doomed by temperament and circumstance, primate politics and entropy. We are hopelessly fvcked. Nothing remains except to choose your own self destruction. Best to take others down if you can. Sure as hell they're looking to take you down.

  4. Mr. Mean, in your opinion, do people have any ethical obligation to their parents? This is a topic I have hoped you would speak to for some time now. I am a middle-aged male who both loves his parents and deeply resents them for bringing me into this world.

    1. You are right; the subject ought to be addressed in a future blog post. No human being has any obligation to any other person – especially within the family unit. However, it is possible to enter into a voluntary contract with blood relations: for example, a son might agree to provide hospice care to an aged parent in return for certain terms in the will. Yet without any remuneration, children owe nothing whatsoever to a progenitor – otherwise, family lineage merely becomes another form of servitude.

  5. This eternal state of happiness that has been sold to us is bullshit and a carrot dangled in front of people to get them to do what society expects. Just another way of doping the masses into compliance.

    1. I'm copying this statement into my personal notebook. I want to remember this when, while stuck in court-ordered "anger management treatment" so I can at least have the dignity to allow myself to feel exactly what I feel without being lectured about my "attitude".
